Good Things, Little Packages

We didn't want the announcement of baby #2 to miss the mark, so we spent a good week or so brainstorming ideas about how to tell the family. Because I love getting mail so much, we really wanted to send something via post for the parents and sibs to discover, so they would be happily blindsided. We finally came up with the little magnet + tag combo you see above. The magnet is the little dot, and the tag says:
Front: Coming soon.... Dec 10 2010 S + J + G
Back: The attached magnet is the actual size of your new grandbaby/niece or nephew/etc. (depending on who got it)
Of course everyone's was personalized. :)
We got some really great phone calls (Emily first, then Jessica--so mail travels fastest to CO and San Diego apparently) a few days later, but had to wait out the weekend for Steve's parents and Kevin & Rachel to get their envelopes. Since my parents were on vacation, we decided to send them a pix message of the positive test so they wouldn't be in the dark for a whole week.
Our favorite response was actually relayed to us via Steve's brother Eric, who was facebook chatting with Steve when he opened his envelope. Once he had gotten his open, he heard his dad's response to the envelope we sent them (Eric got his own):
"Oh my gosh--another one!"
Favorite response so far. :)
